OUR SCHOOL
Sunnyside, Where Children Shine
Sunnyside Elementary is a small, friendly neighborhood K-5 school with approximately 320 students. Our school is located in the serene and safe neighborhood of Sunnyside, between Glen Park and City College. The school attracts students of many different ethnic backgrounds from the adjacent neighborhoods of Glen Park, Bernal Heights, Miraloma Park, Noe Valley, Outer Mission, Potrero Hill, and Excelsior.
Our school was built in 1926. Every classroom is bright and airy, thanks to an abundance of large windows. We have a welcoming library, an auditorium/cafeteria, computers in every classroom, a budding garden, and a large playground. Murals brighten our grounds and a mosaic mural graces our main entrance.
