eLabels for Education

eLabels for Education

Labels for Education is a program that awards free educational equipment and supplies to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase of Campbells products. This year Campbells introduced a new eLabels program which gives schools the ability to earn points automatically when purchases are made with your Safeway club card — no clipping labels required!  All you need to do is register online, then purchases you make with your Safeway club card automatically benefit Sunnyside.

Visit http://www.elabelsforeducation.com today to start earning points for Sunnyside.  You will earn 200 bonus points just for signing up!

Safeway’s 10% Goes Back to Schools Program

10% Goes Back to Schools

Safeway’s annual 10% Goes Back to Schools Program is running now through September 14.  Purchase any item with the yellow school bus tag with your Safeway Club card and 10% of your purchase can go to Sunnyside.  eScrip member contributions automatically benefit Sunnyside through the eScrip program.  Enroll in eScrip today if you are not yet a member.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Safeway and eScrip require us to renew our commitment each year before November 1 in order to ensure Safeway Club Card contributions go uninterrupted all year long. Anyone that signed up for eScrip before August 1 of last year must renew! Please renew today to take advantage of Safeway’s 10% Goes Back to Schools Program.

Renewal is super-easy! Go to www.escrip.com and log in. If you need to renew, you will see the words “Renew your Safeway Club Card with eScrip”. Just click on the big red check-mark or the “renew now” button and you’re done!

Thanks for making SpringFest 2010 a success!

Sunnyside families and neighbors enjoyed games, food, and dance performances at our annual SpringFest on May 22nd. Through your generous support of our gift sale, silent auction, art sales, plant sale, and raffle ticket sales, the PTA exceeded its fundraising goals for the event! The SpringFest funds will be used to pay for Reading Support Specialists, classroom stipends, field trips, administrative support, International Night, the read-a-thon, and many other PTA sponsored events and programs.

SpringFest is Tomorrow!

Our annual SpringFest has finally arrived!

Join us Saturday, May 22, 11-3 for food, games, entertainment, and more.  There will be a Raffle and first-ever Silent Auction, both with awesome prizes.  Student artwork, plants and assorted gifts will also be for sale.

All SpringFest proceeds provide funding for PTA sponsored programs in Academics, Art, Health & Wellness, and Science and support various Community Events throughout the school year.

Hope to see you there!

NEW SpringFest SILENT AUCTION

Due to the generous donations Sunnyside has received, the PTA will run a silent auction in conjunction with the gift sale. Items to be auctioned include: 2 round trip tickets on Jet Blue airlines, Navarette Tae Kwon Do certificates, Pacific Coast Family Photo Session and more to be announced as SpringFest approaches. Look for updates to the silent auction and gift sale donations posted on a SpringFest Information Board on the first floor starting next week, or check back here for complete SpringFest information.

What is eScrip?
eScrip is a fast, simple and convenient way for schools like Sunnyside to raise funds through everyday purchases made at eScrip merchants such as Safeway and Macy’s.

How does it work?
eScrip and hundreds of merchant partners have created a system that rewards customer loyalty by contributing a percentage of purchases to your chosen group. You shop the way you like to shop for groceries, clothing, travel and entertainment. It’s simple, convenient and FREE. All you need to do is register your grocery club card and debit/credit card(s).

Simple Registration – Register Today!
Go to the eScrip Supporter Registration page to register online.
Designate Sunnyside Elementary School to receive contributions. Our Group ID is #138051594.
Register your grocery club cards from a participating merchant — and your debit, ATM and credit cards if you wish.

That’s it!
Visit eScrip merchants to shop. It’s automatic! Sunnyside can potentially receive hundreds of dollars from your participation alone.

2009 Season of Giving Wish List

During the holiday season, you may have planned to give a gift to your classroom teacher. Please consider a gift that your teacher really wants – a gift to Sunnyside Elementary School. Teachers have made up their wish lists with ideas for rainy day games, puzzles and other classroom needs. We’ve hung them on our “Season of Giving” bulletin board in the hallway. THERE ARE STILL MANY ITEMS OUR TEACHERS NEED FOR THEIR CLASSROOMS. Please consider giving gifts to other classrooms, too.

Please remove a sun(s) from the tree if you plan to give that gift. You can bring it to the teacher, class, or school the last week of school (December 14-18) before the break. Please check back in case we add more wish list items!

Thanks!
