Membership Donations & Dues
Parents, teachers, and all community members are invited to donate at any level to help the PTA and school. PTA dues are $10 per person and support programs for all students.
Grandparents Commissioning Fund
Grandparents & family members are invited to contribute to ensure that every Sunnyside student can participate in the visual and performing arts.
Fun Run
New to Sunnyside in 2010-2011, the Fun Run promotes fitness and raises money during the fall. Students solicit and collect pledges, then walk or run a predetermined distance. The Fun Run is held in conjunction with a Family Picnic.
Read-a-thon
Our Read-a-thon promotes literacy and raises money during the Winter Break. Students solicit pledges, then keep track of the minutes they read during the Break. Per minute pledge totals and donations are collected in January. Read-a-thon supports classroom art instruction and library supplies.
Springfest and Raffle
Our biggest event of the year raises money with a Raffle, Silent Auction and by selling tickets for games. Raffle and Silent Auction prizes are collected all year.
Ongoing Fundraisers
Escrip: Register your Safeway Card and/or credit card at www.eScrip.com, and designate Sunnyside to receive a percentage of your spending. Group ID#: 138051594 Group Name: Sunnyside Elementary School – if you search by school name, we’re near the bottom of the page.
Target Visa Card: Designate Sunnyside to receive a percentage of the amount you spend when you use your Target Visa card.
Box Tops: Clip the “Box Top” label off of any General Mills/Betty Crocker product and have your child bring it to class. Each label is worth 10 cents. Children can also bring in dimes and dollar bills to contribute to our monthly class competition. Winning class receives a party.
Funding Factory Cell Phone & Ink Cartridge Recycling Program: Bring in to school your empty or unwanted ink cartridges and old cell phones. Deposit them in the teacher’s lunchroom on the second floor. Additional boxes to bring to your office are available at no charge and UPS postage is prepaid by the Funding Factory.
Sunnyside School T Shirt: Nothing says Sunnyside School better than our own green and yellow T shirts that are available in a wide range of sizes for children and adults.
Office Depot: 5% cash Back to the School program. Our school id number is 70014032. Give number to cashier when making purchases, or ask them to look it up in the binder if you don’t have the number with you. Back to Schools hotline: 1-877-567-5BTS
