Drop-Off Zone: Stop, Drop & Roll

_Sunnyside’s school day starts at 8:40 and goes until 2:40. You can drop your child off as early as 8:20 for supervised play on the yard.

You can walk your children into school or drop them at the drop-off zone on Hearst Street. Our "Stop, Drop and Roll" zone  is staffed by parent volunteers, 5th grade volunteers, and sometimes even the principal. It is located on the south side of Hearst Street between Foerster and Edna Streets, at the entrance to the school yard.

Drop-Off Zone Rules
The Drop-Off Zone makes everyone's life easier. Please use it only if your children can be dropped off curb-side and do not need you to escort them in. To make the Drop-Off Zone work for everyone, please:

• DO wait to drive forward before letting students out. 
  
• DO NOT park in the white zone – even for a minute. If you need to to get out of your car for any reason, please find a legal parking space.
• DO thank the parent volunteer who is here to help.
