With so many newer teachers, Sunnyside will be really affected by the proposed budget cuts. We are already operating with a “bare bones” budget – the only thing left to cut are staff positions. With so many terrific teachers, we don’t want to lose a single one.
Want to send a postcard to your elected officials to tell them that they can’t cut school funding? You can download and print out this Postcard of support to schools 3.6.08.pdf which contains four pre-made postcards – one for your State Senator, one for the Mayor, one for the Governor and one for your Assemblymember. Sign each of the four cards and bring it back to school in the Wednesday envelope. We will cut them up and send them out for you.
You can also write your own letter or have your child create their own artwork to send with the postcards.
