If you use a calendar application that supports the iCal format, you can now download the 2007 school calendar and synch it with you PDA/phone/gadget. The calendar was entered manually so if you spot a mistake, please leave a comment so that it can be fixed. You can also view the calendar online. It’s not pretty, but it works.
You can also directly import the calendar within iCal by subscribing to all calendars. I’ll attempt to export this calendar with all future updates, so you don’t have to keep subscribing come the next school year.
I’ll try to keep these calendars up to date as more events are entered into the calendar. Suggestions to improve this feature are welcomed.
The PTA invites all parents to come by the library for coffee and pastries. Meet Principal Shlenke who will be on hand to answer questions about the new year.
Time: 9am or as soon as the children are settled in their classrooms.
We would like to welcome all the new parents to a new school year at Sunnyside Elementary. The first day of school is officially August 28, and we hope to see you there.
If you haven’t yet received any information regarding your classroom assignments, or the other usual information packets, don’t panic. That information should be forthcoming. I’ll post any news I have here if necessary.
Kindergarten parents (and returning families who would like to meet and greet them) are invited to a Welcome Night this Thursday August 24, 5pm-7pm. We will have a playdate in the playground, followed by a visit with Principal Schlenke and the K-teachers in the classrooms.
In the mean time, enjoy the last days of summer vacation.
