How you can support Sunnyside
Sunnyside and the SFUSD work hard to provide the best education possible for our children. However, we all know that public school budgets are limited. That’s where the PTA comes in – we fund a wide array of crucial programs and resources. In order to provide these essentials, we need to raise $181,000 during the 2016-2017 school year (that’s about $475 per Sunnyside student).
Run to the Sunnyside Fun Run
The school year kicks off with this community event which emphasizes fitness and fun. Students walk or run around a track and raise pledges from parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors.
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and contributes over 40% of the PTA budget. Every gift matters and all donations are fully tax-deductible. Our Annual Fund goal for the 2016-17 school year is $80,000. Click on the DONATE button on the right to donate via PayPal.
Many employers will match your donation to the PTA. Check with your company’s HR department to see if they have a matching gifts program. You can also check our list of companies that have previously given matching gifts. Please email email@example.com if your company offers a matching program but is not on our list.
Parents' Night Out
This is a lively event with food, wine and a live and silent auction featuring fabulous retail items, one-of-a-kind San Francisco experiences and artwork handmade by Sunnyside students.
Count-Me-Ins for Sunnyside
Count-Me-Ins (CMIs) are teacher or parent hosted events to build community and raise money for Sunnyside PTA. It’s a great way to get to know other families while helping raise funds to help Sunnyside thrive!
This year, we will be offering CMIs on a rolling basis from January through the summer with ongoing sign-ups. All CMI events and sign-ups are through our new fundraising portal hosted by Bidcoz. The following link Count-Me-Ins for Sunnyside will direct you to all upcoming CMI's that have been scheduled. Simply add the item to your cart and checkout. Your host will follow-up prior to the event with further details.
If you have any questions or would like to host a CMI please contact Laurel Kellam at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A carnival-style celebration of the year’s achievements, SpringFest offers games, delicious food, live music, a raffle and student art sale on Sunnyside's beautiful school yard.
