Please  view our draft of the Sunnyside Elementary School Climate and Discipline Policy.  This document provides a window into our philosophy around these topics and gives descriptions of our expectations and responses at Sunnyside.  It has been wrought through the effort of staff and community members through our School Climate Committee and we’d like to know your comments as well.  Please let us know your thoughts using the comments box; it will be open until June 8th , 2012
 
 
The RSC worked this May 2012 to  begin prioritizing our site wish list developed through staff and community input; the "Prioritization" document is the fruit of our efforts.  Your comments are appreciated and the comments box will remain open until Friday June 8th.  The RSC will engage in more discussion on this document and the renovation process in the 2012-2013 school year.  The planning process is slated to continue into the Spring of 2012-2013.
 
 
Join us from 9-1 to help clean out the boiler room, organize the PTA closet, and empty out and relocate physical education items from the storage unit on the playyard.

Kids are welcome - bring bikes and scooters!

Bagels, coffee, juice boxes and water provided.

Please join in us getting our school clean and ready for the new bungalows and the summer.

Grades 3-5 Science fair with Mr. Carter

Our upper-grade students will be involved in a science fair to show some of their investigations and learnings in science.  Mr. Carter, our 4th grade teacher has spearheaded this effort and has done a great job inspiring our students with his own love of science information and learning.  Come join our scientists as their show what they’ve learned.

Field day is a day filled with activities. Students go from station to station and play PE games outside!

The final Box Top collection of the year is this Friday, May 18. Please bring in your box tops to your teacher by Friday. Forms are being distributed in this week's Wed. envelope and are also available on the website's Digital Flyers page. 
 
 
Have your kids show their Sunnyside Spirit by participating in this Student Council organized Spirit Week.
  • Monday, May 14th: Mix and Match/Clash Day - Wear a crazy non-matching outfit filled with colors, patterns and maybe even two different shoes!
  • Tuesday, May 15th: Twin Day - Dress exactly like someone else!
  • Wednesday, May 16th: Formal Wear Day - Wear your nicest outfit and show off your classy style!
  • Thursday, May 17th: SF Giants Day - Wear your black and orange!
  • Friday, May 18th: Hat / Spirit Day - Wear your favorite hat and Sunnyside yellow and green!
